Overview
The Most Serene Republic of San Marino is a landlocked state, completely surrounded by Italy. San Marino has the smallest population of all of the members of the Council of Europe.
Languages
Italian is the official spoken language of San Marino, and is spoken by much of the population. However, the dialect of Emiliano-Romagnolo is also spoken by some inhabitants.
Economy
San Marino is not in the Euro, however, like Italy, it uses the euro as its currency.
The country's workforce is split roughly evenly between the industry and service sectors. Agricultural produce includes wheat, grapes, corn, olives; cattle, pigs, horses, beef, cheese, and hides. San Marino's key industries are tourism, banking, textiles, electronics, ceramics, cement, and wine.

San Marino has a thriving and constantly expanding tourist trade due to its beautiful and diverse climate and sites of historical interest. One example is in the Three Towers of San Marino, which are found on the three peaks of Mount Titano in the country's capital

Football is a popular sport in San Marino, as well as motorcycle racing and cycling, with many taking part in the San Marino motorcycle Grand Prix every year.
