Overview
The Democratic Republic of the Congo is the third largest country in the continent of Africa. It is bordered by the Central African Republic, Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Zambia, Angola, Republic of the Congo and Tanzania.
Languages
The official language of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is French. Economy and Energy
Congo's economy is dependant on its mineral wealth, as well as subsistence agriculture. Agricultural produce includes bananas, cassava, root crops, corn, fruits, coffee, palm oil, sugarcane and cotton. Mining for copper, cobalt, zinc, manganese is also important. Much of the country's power is produced through the sustainable means of hydroelectric power.
